What I Like About Satin Sheets

Nothing feels better when you crawl into bed than a good set of satin sheets; and I mean nothing! While it may be a little cold at first, once it warms up it is the coziest, most exhilarating feeling. It is quite frankly a real shame that more people don’t indulge themselves in the satin sleeping heaven. Anyway, for those of you who want to get in on this but don’t exactly know your way around, the following tips should help you to look around and find the best fit for you.

First of all, you should be prepared to spend over $100 easily. If you want higher quality satin bed sheets then we’re really talking about spending closer to $300. And obviously, because of budget reasons you may have to fall somewhere in between this range. I suppose you could even pay more (a lot more), but that is out of my wallet’s reach so maybe you’ll have to tell me how the air is up there if you make it. In general, you’ll get what you pay for in this bedding industry. The only exception is that sometimes stores will have a clearing sale. If you are lucky enough to hear about something like this, then it is definitely worth taking a look.  Make sure you look for black satin sheets for the ultimate in luxury bedding.

In terms of washing and drying your satin sheets, you will have to be a little careful. Obviously they require more care than sheets of a lesser quality. For instance, if you also have satin comforters or bedspreads, you will be a lot better off to just dry clean them. If you try to wash them yourself you are in for a challenge. They’re just very hard to clean in a traditional way, such as you would do with normal sheets.

Besides the feel of satin sheets, they also offer a great look. Of course, you can get them in different colors and even stitches: however you want them you can pretty much get them in that style. But they look very good too. In fact, they have such a nice shimmer and shine that they are really just about the most ideal fabric to sleep on and under on the face of this earth. That’s my opinion anyway.

In the end, the real benefit is the smoothness and the shininess, two points that I touched on briefly here. That is what satin sheets will give you, at a price.

Folding a Fitted Sheet

There is nothing worse then not being able to fold a fitted sheet. I decided to add this video to this hub because fodling a satin fitted sheet would be even more infuriating. So please watch this video below and hopefully you can get over your frustration too with your new sheet sets!

Nice article. I've always wondered the difference between satin sheets and silk. I know the material is different but they look similar in many respects. Oh, thanks for the tip on the fitted sheet, too - those rounded corners are tricky!
